FAVORITE FOOD SPOTS IN BORDEAUX

While Bordeaux is famous for its wine, I must say, I LOVE the food! Just take note of the hours that these places are open, because most of them are open for three hours for lunch, then close, and reopen later that night for another three or so more hours. Let’s start with my favorite bakery!

La Boulangerie

Close to la Fleche Saint-Michel (mentioned in my Bordeaux Must Sees), there is an absolutely darling bakery appropriately called La Boulangerie. Their brioche is to die for!

Le Bouchon Bordelais

For lunch, go to Le Bouchon Bordelais, my favorite restaurant in Bordeaux. The bistro is intimate and inviting, but there are only a handful of tables, so go as soon as it opens for lunch! The ever-changing affordable menu is written on a chalkboard that is brought to your table, which reflects whatever is fresh that day.

La Maison Darricau

For a sweet treat between lunch and dinner, visit this chocolate shop! The staff is incredibly warm and helpful, and the chocolates are delicious.

Restaurant Melodie

For a delicious dinner, visit this romantic French restaurant in the heart of the Saint-Pierre district. They offer a three course affordable meal and the service is lovely!
